The site has gone almost a month without an update and even before that it was getting long in between posts. I’ve taken on a new role at work and have been getting my ass kicked. Loni and I have been hunting for place in the mountains to do the deed (get married that is, get your mind out of the gutter) on the weekends which has been consuming a decent chunk of that precious spare time. Aside from that there’s not too much to report. We’re getting the boat out here soon to get her prepped for the summer. A buddy of mine is going to help me reupholster some of the seats and we gotta take it in to get an oil change and make sure no water froze up somewhere and cracked anything over the winter. NOFX is playing at the Fillmore on May 2nd and I’m insanely excited to see them preform. I’ve caught them on the Warped Tour before but this will be the first “intimate” venue I’ve seen them at. They’re childhood to present idols of mine; I just hope that some of these new breed of younger punkers don’t thrash me around too hard. This summer, July 19th and 20th to be exact, is the first ever Mile High Music Festival featuring the likes of Tom Petty, Dave Matthews, The Roots, Rodrigo y Gabriella, John Mayer, Michael Franti, Steve Winwood, and The Black Crowes among many others over 2 days that I’m also very stoked for. Trying to get Glendo planned again this year as well, likely in late June. So far as the present goes it’s pretty much the same ol’ story: working, staying busy, trying to retire by age 30.
