A while back I posted on Tony and the ending of The Sopranos, insinuating that Tony had gotten shot and that he was dead. Mostly I was convinced by an article (which has since been updated) I’d read compiled by a TV writer and some other fans that jumped on board with the theory. It seemed to fit. It at least gave me an answer that I was apparently seaking.

As it turns out I can occasionally be mislead or even sometimes wrong.

The year is 2012…

Is it the end of this world and the beginning of the next? The Mayans seem to think so, and so do alot of other people. Surely some are your garden variety conspiracy theorists but countless others seem to have their papers in order. The Mayans based their calendar off astrological signs and other celestial synchronicities. According to their calendar 2012 is when we leave the 4th world and enter the 5th. December 21st, 2012 at 11:11 AM GMT no less. The Greeks referred to it as the “End of Age” and Plato more specifically referred to it as a cycle of catastrophe. On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun’s ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjuncting the exact the center of the galaxy. This puts the sun smack dab in the middle of the “dark rift” in the Milky Way. Some even speculate that Mason’s have been planning for this event as well, even going so far as to build underground passages capable of withstanding nuclear fallout underneath Denver International Airport that will hold up to 5 million Masons when the shit hits the fan. The Mason’s did construct most of DIA. Some people think the poles will flip and gravity will go out of whack causing earthquakes and flooding that could devastate the planet. Some Novelists even believe that the telekinetic energy encompassing our planet will finally be able to be tapped into by either man or technology and we’ll learn the origins and mysteries of the universe. Some see this also as being a New Age brought on not by devastation or destruction but rather and enlightenment of mankind brought forth either from within our own bodies or helped along by some leap in technology.

Google it, there’s some interesting stuff out there.

In the meantime we’ve got one more excuse not to do much of anything and just let it all happen. At least until December 2012 that is.

I told you so!

One of the main figures in the Roswell incident, Lieutenant Walter Haut who was the public relations officer for the Roswell Air Force base in 1947, died recently leaving behind a sworn affidavit to be opened only after his death. In it he reveals that the story he gave to the press was indeed a cover-up and that a craft and alien bodies were recovered on July 1st 1947.

Roswell is easily the most infamous UFO or alien related story in American history, and perhaps for good reason. Others have come forward who were involved in the supposed cover-up and plenty of locals have insisted on its legitimacy as being an alien crash site from day 1. Whatever the truth may be this new twist definitely seems damning to those, mostly our government, who would insist that it was a mere weather balloon that fell to earth that day.

I wanted to wait a while to post this in case there were those out there who hadn’t seen the Sopranos finale and were waiting to watch it. Enough time has past though and if you haven’t seen it yet then you probably don’t care too much… either way I suppose a SPOILER ALERT is in order.

So I’m a pretty big Sopranos fan and like a lot of other viewers I was more than a bit frustrated with the final episode. It was like it ended on one big cliffhanger that would never be answered, because well, it’s the final episode ever and all. Rumors abounded that there was going to be a follow-up movie or that the creators wanted to do 10 seasons and so this was a big “screw you” to HBO, but ultimately all the fans want is some damn closure to which many felt they hadn’t received. Sopranos creator David Chase was quoted as saying, “it’s all there” and after a second look well yes, I suppose it is.

Tony got shot.
